The growth of G.M. McCrossin, Inc., is a modern American success story. The company was founded in 1951, by G.M. Mac McCrossin. Mac familiarized himself with many types of heavy construction in the 1930s and 1940s. Then, after several years of managing a large building and supply company in the 40s, he founded G.M. McCrossin, Inc. G.M. McCrossins early emphasis was on general construction in the commercial and industrial fields. The companys rapid growth and expansion over its first quarter century was due to Macs dedication and knowledge of the construction industry in Pennsylvania. Mr. McCrossin remained President until July 1980.
In 1970, Robert M. Leahey joined the company as the Vice-President. Eventually, Bob became President and was a very successful company leader. He was dedicated to G.M. McCrossin, Inc., for 30 years making the company stronger and more prosperous by increasing the annual volume over ten times.
In 1994, Robert F. Leahey, rejoined G.M. McCrossin as their General Superintendent. Bob brought with him the experiences and knowledge that he gained while working for one of the top five construction companies in the US. This work combined with his 25 years of various construction experience led to his appointment to president of G.M. McCrossin in January 2002.
In 1998, Joseph J. Leahey returned to the company as a Project Manager. During Joes absence from G.M. McCrossin, he was employed as a Project Engineer in Alaska. He has continued to manage an array of projects while developing our commercial and industrial accounts. In January 2002, Joe was appointed Vice President of G.M. McCrossin.
As the company moves forward, it looks to the past with pride and to the future with an expectation of sustained high quality and continued growth.
