The Houck Group, Inc., originated in 1947 as the partnership of Houck and Cassatt. The company became solely operated by Lawrence E. Houck in 1960 and became respected as one of the best masonry contractors in Central Pennsylvania. The company was purchased in 1970 (now known as Houck & Company, Inc.) by his son, Gary L. Houck who expanded their services to encompass the many requests for more comprehensive restoration and repair services. In 1975 a subsidiary, Houck Services, Inc., was formed. Within several years they worked diligently to develop the same high standard of service... both technical and professional... to comply with their customers requests. In 1983 "Houck" purchased another reputable firm to expand their operation and offer more complete roofing and industrial flooring services. In 1992 they were awarded the RSI National Roofing Contractor of the Year Award recognizing their quality and professional service... in addition to numerous other "safety and professional" awards throughout the years. True to their company mission and goals...
